It's in the post. Apparently the hood is in a seperate compartment in the kit box & it was overlooked

Thanks Mike & Gwyn for replying...I'd be very surprised if Pentax confirm this. If the retailer tells me that is the case I'll ring Pentax myself.

Last week I ordered a blue K30 & DA 18-135mm WR as part of a kit from a Pro Centre (not SRS). It arrived this afternoon and the lens had been split from a kit but was missing a lens hood. When I rang the retailer they informed me that the K30 & 18-135mm combo did not include a lens hood but they will contact Pentax to confirm and get back to me tomorrow.

This doesn't sound correct to me as I thought only the DA-L lenses were the ones not to include a lens hood. Has anyone else experienced this with this combination?

In 2011 I had a similar issue with the K5 that I owned at the time. I sent it off to Johnsons who replaced the shutter button & unit due to a fault.

Hope that helps.

K-5 now on ebay.

K-5 now £425 incl RMSD.

Any questions via PM.

Glad to hear it arrived safely Tom.

K-5 reduced to £450 ONO incl delivery - would rather sell it on here than on ebay.

DA 17-70mm now sold subject to payment. K-5 still for sale with no offers as yet.

Reluctantly I am selling the following items:

1. Pentax K-5. I bought this in December 2010 and have owned it since new. It is boxed with all the cables, manual & software. The shutter count is approximately 31,000 and is without doubt the best Pentax DSLR I have ever used, it is in a good condition and has a screen protector on the rear.
The box states K-5 & 18-135mm but SRS removed the lens when I purchased it.

£495 OVNO incl delivery.

2. DA 17-70mm F4. I bought this lens from SRS in November 2011 so still has 1 year left on the warranty if that is transferable, I haven't checked this with SRS. The lens is in an excellent condition with both end caps, box and all the relevant paperwork. It's just come back from Johnsons as there was some dust behind the front element and I haven't used it since it was cleaned.
