FS Tamron SP 10-24mm 1:3.5-4.5 Di II GBP 150 Posted in Classified Adverts |
Lovely short zoom lens for aps-c sensors. I've found it to be very flexible and to produce some great photos. Good condition (cant see any marks or dust, though there probably are some), perfect working order comes with correct lens cap and hood. Selling as have gone full frame. I'm just west of Reading near Newbury. uk only, I will post but prefer not to if meeting up can be worked out. |

On the last image, with the head, I think it works really well. Crystalline appearance. |

Very good in low light, I believe |
Very old lenses Posted in Lenses for Pentax Cameras |
Well done. Good effort. I've suffered from flare using old enlarger lenses for attempts at macro. Tried using a film canister as a hood, but still had problems. You've encouraged me to have another go. |

I think I pretty much agree with what you say |

This thread has been the final push to join the other forum. I will continue reading and maybe posting here as there are many knowledgeable and helpful people, mods included. The efforts of the moderators are generally appreciated, but the strictness of the pentax only rule seems weird and is not the normal practice in other owners clubs and forums that I contribute to. I feel that what is essentially pettiness will eventually lead to the demise of this useful resource. |

Who makes the sensor in my Pentax camera? Sony. |

What about images taken using a canon body and a Pentax lens? |

The need for a lens hood. Posted in Lenses for Pentax Cameras |
Is a hood less important on a very wide lens? eg the hood on my tamron 10-24. |
FS Benro Travel Angel II kit, Carbon fibre Posted in Classified Adverts |
I have a new, unused, boxed, travel angel 2 kit, it's the 1682TB0 kit, that becomes a monopod/walking pole, complete with spikes and bag. £240 delivered to UK (I have it up for a bit more on ebay) If you think I'm asking too much make an offer :-) Rob |
Don't bother Posted in Pentax Digital SLRs |
This is a fairly new phenomenon on ebay - the fantastically overpriced item. We were discussing it at work the other day. I think that they must be out of stock and change the price rather than delisting and paying a new listing few when they have stock again. Any other suggestions? |
travelling / backing up Posted in General Digital Photography chat |
This holiday I've been in china, so all my normal cloud storage was blocked. Managed to get 10TB free from tencent (one of worlds larger internet companies), on their weiyun cloud, however had to get help to be sure of the translation during setup and for large file upload. |

I'm abroad at the moment and have been using firedrive, their free amount may be large enough. Works fairly well but be prepared for long upload times even with a fast connection. The raw files from my k5 are pretty big. I have a lenovo windows 8 tablet with me running lightroom, so I upload from that. |
gotta love the K5 Posted in Your Photos |
I upgraded from a kx and am really happy with my k5, a lot cheaper than a k3 so left a bit of budget for lenses. |
gotta love the K5 Posted in Your Photos |
Lovely shot, K5's only failing seems to be slightly iffy low light focus |

The light box method sounds like a really good idea. |

Ebay lens Posted in General Photographic Chat |
'no returns' means no returns if all is ok. The seller is obliged to accept returns of faulty or poorly described items. It may have been mis-described in error or through lack of knowledge, or by deliberate deception. If you don't want it then ask to return for a refund. If you would rather keep it then ask for a partial refund due to being not as described. Some sellers get quite rude but any sensible seller would rather give a partial refund if mis-described. If you paid with paypal then you are in a strong position, just raise a case in ebay. |
