This needs to be weighed against the relative immaturity of the product, it is only just over 5 years old
I wish you well with it and hope you earn a lot of money from it.
I am not looking to make a lot of money from it, just share in the revenue it helps generate rather than have someone make billions from the efforts of other people, like me, and treating them like dirt.

Payment threshold is currently $15.00 but you do need a PayPal account.
That equates to 2,412 views, unless I am mistaken.
Cheers

I think you may have misunderstood, you don’t pay to view each picture, you only pay for a subscription (unless you opt for the free membership), the payment to the photographer is paid for by the advertising on the site.
I have uploaded full size JPGs from both my K5 and Q and not had any issues (there may be a size limit but I haven’t come across it yet on my few days on the site), and there is no limit on the number of uploads.
Just had a look and there is some EXIF data but apparently the functionality is “broken” and will be fixed when the new site is released. According to the latest update this will be going into beta testing in the next few weeks.
Compared to Flickr, there is some functionality missing, groups for example, the current user experience may not be quite so good and there are a number of other small issues.
This needs to be weighed against the relative immaturity of the product, it is only just over 5 years old and the fact you get paid for people viewing your photos instead of all the site revenue going into the pockets of it’s owners or shareholders.
At the end of the day people will stick with what they are comfortable. I use Flickr and will continue to do so, at least until I see major improvements on this new contender, but I do see the potential for competitors such as ClickASnap to challenge the current status quo and hope this will prompt other sites, perhaps some new and some existing, to work to the benefit of those whose work leads to the generation of income.
My views might be slightly biased due to my IT background and always being open to challenging the status quo and the benefit of exploiting new new ideas, techniques and tools.
Cheers
Chris

Just signed up for a paid ad free subscription which comes in a lot cheaper than Flickr and has a benefit of getting paid for people viewing my photos !
Seems to be a rapidly growing membership but I was wondering if anyone had any experience with this site?
As with everything there are a few cons, to go along with the pros. Doesn’t seem to support EXIF data at the moment nor does it seem to have any sort of equipment database but I’m not sure if this is down to me using Pentax gear.
As they say, nothing ventured, nothing gained.
I’ve put up about 8 photos so far and after a few hours had already had 10 views that count towards payment (only another 2402 before I can withdraw a payment ).
Any views or comments?
Cheers
Chris

At the moment I would rather try and sell as a whole package, especially as it has only been available for an hour or two.
If I am unsuccessful in selling it en-masse over the next few days I will consider selling items individually but I will let everyone know with an update to the ad.
Thanks
Chris

The package includes everything in the picture below (and pictures at this link, Pentax Q, along with some sample shots), which includes:
1. Boxed Pentax Q with Q 02 standard zoom lens, Silkypix and Q Manual on CD ROMs, charge and lead, USB lead and original battery.
* Camera is in great condition with just a little wear on the front right edge at the bottom and a little around the tripod mount, both arising from use on a tripod. I can't see any other marks anywhere, nor scratches on the LCD. It does, however, suffer from dropping the date and time when changing the battery.
* The lens is in great condition with just a little rubbing to the logo on the cap. I have a JJC hood for it that feels flimsy when fitting but does the job, even if the logo is at the side instead of on top.
* I have three spare batteries as well as the original Pentax, all hold charge well. If posted with Royal Mail I should be able to send two of the batteries as well as the one installed but I will check, otherwise alternative arrangements will need to be made.
* The original strap has gone walkabout but I will include the Optech neoprene wrist strap currently fitted.
2. Pentax Q 01 lens in good condition, no box but does inlcude a metal hood with a 52mm lens cap (couldn't find a Pentax hood for love nor money). It does make the camera tilt back slightly when fitted but it does the job. 52mm cap fitted because it's too tight to get the original cap off when the hood is fitted (the hood came with a 40.5mm cap).
3. Pentax Q 06 lens, boxed in excellent condition apart from a minor cosmetic mark (pictured) where I made the mistake of putting it in my pocket with the Q 01 wearing it's hood. This also comes with a metal after market hood that works well and has the logo on the side as per the 02 hood.
3. Pentax "large" neoprene case which officially holds the camera and 01 lens (without hood) but I have managed to squeeze the in camera with 02 lens fitted.
4. Spare front (40.5mm) and rear lens caps (the rear came with the body cap as the original was lost).
The price is negotiable and, looking at this little lot, I was thinking about £295.00 including RMSD (see note above re: batteries, so I will confirm options once I have spoken to our local PO or Delivery Office).
Collection is perfectly acceptable or it may be possible to meet up at a mutually convenient location (I'm in Ferndown, Dorset) to swap cash for camera.
Happy to answer any questions.
