Thanks guys - really appreciated! Having done some considerable searching I am going after both the 50mm 1.7 and 55-200 lenses. Glad I didn't choose Canon!

Hi Everyone,
I've just purchased a new K100D, after hours of searching and comparing. My friends all said get a Canon, but my heart said Pentax.
I went for the K100D for two reasons - the shake reduction and the kit lens, which I've read several times (I haven't taken delivery yet to confirm) is actually very good (at this level). The 400D on the other hand, comes with a very poor 18-55 according to some reviews.
So my questions are these.
First, having overcome my scepticism about the battery type in the K100D (4 AA), I want to get myself the best possible rechargables and the best possible charger.
I have several Uniross 2500 mAh batteries and a fast charger, which have not had that much use, but seem to only charge to half their capacity and quickly die.
I've read in these pages about the Ansmann charger. Can anyone tell me if that charger will work with my Uniross batteries, and if it will bring them back to life? Is the Ansmann the best to go for?
Is it true that the rechargable CRV3 batteries are not suitable for my new camera?
On the subject of lenses, I have already bought a Pentax A 50mm f1:7 lens to get me started, and am looking to get the 55-200 Pentax/Schneider zoom which sometimes comes as a kit lens with the 18-55. Can anyone tell me if this lens is a sound basic lens, as reviews suggest it's sibling, the 18-55 is? If not, can anyone recommend the zoom I should aim for, for a near beginner, but someone who doesn't want to skimp and suffer in the future as I get more into my photography? I'd happily go for a Sigma or Tamron etc if the quality is good.

I'm hoping someone can help me. I have a K100D and have just acquired a cheep 28mm prime for it on Ebay.
The lens is a PHOTAX SUPER PARAGON F1: 2.8 28mm.
Around the front it has written SUPER PARAGON PMC II AUTO.
It was advertised as Pentax PKA fit, so it should fit my camera.
However, it does not!! It turns only so far and will not turn to the correct point nor click into place.
Am I doing something wrong, or is this lens not actually a PKA fit? The fitting looks almost identical to my other PKA lenses, so why will it not turn and click into place?
