i think you will end up with double exposures, as once the shutter has fired the release button needs to be depressed again for the next subject to appear and trigger again if you lock open you get double exposure. you are not dealing with a film that is triggered to move on as in Vic,s camera. actually does sound more advanced than Pentax

now i am awake. yes it does work as you say, what made me muddled was the phrase in the instructions "set the focus on a point" so i assumed you focused on a point and it was the movement of something coming into the area that triggered the camera. that is how i interpreted the instructions. so if you are aiming at a point out of focus it would not be a lot of good a subject crossing that point it would still be out of focus so you need the subject to be coming towards you as with your cars, or is that not right

tried again body af ,lens mf on switch and that works as the camera sees the change. i can see why i think ,because i have locked the focus on a point so if the release is fully depressed the shutter will fire as it is told to do in the menu c.3 15. afs setting 1 focus priority= shutter can not be released until subject in focus. as you have put something in focus (your point) the shutter releases. the catch in focus is not cancelling that command

have tried all combinations of settings but my k5 seems to just fire the shot in focus or not, tried with DA*16-50 with mf switch and an m42 lens on adapter

no every body seemed to think that, the dreams were shattered though. also some lenses have increased quite substantialy, percentage wise probably more than the k5

get a 12 bore and shoot it ,save all the damage when it gets in the house with all it,s friends. seen every piece of cable in a loft stripped of insulation by these pests, cost the woman a fortune, insurance usually does not cover vermin infestation, up to you to keep them out. at least that was the answer she got.
