Are you on the latest camera firmware, v1.04?

It corrects: Unstable performance may rarely occur in firmware version 1.03.
Perhaps you are experiencing 'unstable performance'?!

I haven't updated the cameras firmware, it version 1.0 at the moment as I can't get the two new Samsung memory cards that came with the camera to work in the camera! I have an old 4GB ebay card that works perfectly however I don't trust it to do a firmware upgrade.

I'm having major problems with SD Card. I purchase a Samsung 16GB and 32GB card with my K30 last saturday and the K30 just keeps reporting memory card error. I have tried to format the cards but again the camera jsut reports memory card error. I have used the 16GB card in my K10 and it worked first time no problem at all. The only cards I can get to work in the K30 are old 4GB ones. Any help gratefully received.

Thanks for all the replies.

Managed to nab myself a K30 (a really bright blue one!) on the weekend. It's a bit different from my K10! It's smaller, lighter and has a better grip. Obviously feature wise it's like night and day and I'm slowly making my way through the instruction manual and the moment so there's still a ton of stuff for me learn. Took a few test shots and really happy to see that I didn't need to mess with e/v like I do with the K10 on every shot. As for the Video did A couple of minutes and quite surprised with the quality.

I'm looking to upgrade from my trusty K10D and was going to purchase a K30. However it seems I've come to the market just as the K50 has become available. Looking at the specs there’s no a great deal to separate them, however the wife wants to use the camera for holiday videos (the budget is not going to stretch to a camcorder). I have seen various reviews with regards to the K30's video capabilities but as yet can't find a comparison to the K50. If the Video capabilities of the K50 are no better than the 30 I'm off to buy it on the weekend, however if someone does have any info indicating the K50 is more capable in this area it may sway my decision. Any information gratefully received.

Just bought a H90 through SRS in Watford and they kindly price matched other prices I found whilst scouring the web. It's now 79.99 or with a case and 4GB card, £99. Seems great value to me.

I have been slowly getting my head around RAW images and the software that come with the K10. With the SILKYPIX software I'm slightly confused, is it just a RAW image editor as with the software supllied with the camera or does the full version allow image editing such as copying pixels and such like? If this in not the case what do people reccomend with regard to editing software such as Photoshop (although this is out of my price range). Thanks in advance.
