Really like the last one, bit of a Charlie Waite going on there - maybe try cropping out the sky??

Thanks for the comments, Simon.
I am a tad confused though...There is no sky in the last one
yes now I've realised - it's how I was viewing it in another window on my PC

Thanks for the kind comments, everyone.
It was one of those sun/storm/sun/storm days. It was nice to have both,to be honest.

Thanks for the tip japers, I'll give that a go.
I managed to retreive exposure & contrast in Xnview, thankfully. However, i don't really want to have to process 200+ photos every time I go on a shoot due to incorrect metering!

Trial & error indeed! There's a lot to get my head round...I'll get there in the end
Out of curiosity, do you use centre weighted or matrix metering. I'm asking because whenever i use centre weighted, my photos always come out underexposed.

Lovely shots there Jaspers. It's great to know i've inspired someone!
Please tell me, how did you get such a great exposure? Whenever i try to get (as a dslr newb) the sun/reflections in my photos, they're always blown out.

Thank you all for your kind comments and tips. I'll definitely take it all on board and put it into practice.
What i cant get my head around, is that these photos are nice and sharp in photobucket & my laptop, but they aren't on here. I'm using windows 7 photo viewer to post process at the moment.
One thing i noticed, if you click on one of the photos, and then magnify it one click of the mouse, they sharpen up as they should look. The same happens on my laptop viewer and i cant work out why.
Could one of you try it and see if you get the same results please.
Thanks again!
