I bought it second hand a while back and it always seems to have had the sensor misaligned slightly, so horizon, buildings etc are contantly slightly off line.
Any recommended apps for adjusting pics etc?
Thanks in advance, very frustrating.

I tend to leave camera in green or program in case I need a quick snap, but then change to Av anyway Think it's because I spent so long shooting Av day to day with my old M*n*lt* kit.
Not done any fast moving stuff yet, but I think TAv must have replaced straight shutter priority to a point - the joys of a variable ISO!
Re ISO, what's the point of an ISO priority mode by the way? Surely this is just a program mode with a vague ability to influence range of shutter and aperture selected. Is there a practical use for this?
Sorry if this sounds n00by, it's been a long time since I've used an SLR and the first time using a DSLR.
Cheers

John de Lancie? Ringo Starr? You do realise that no-one below the age of 30 even know who these people are?
Oh, by the way Transit, saw your sig and immediately thought Yes lyrics, then spotted your avatar pic - I have far too much prog on vinyl and CD
Wonder if they could do a "Bob Monkhouse" with the good Mr Llewellyn and CGI him back to life to pitch it. Something tells me his family wouldn't be keen.

Must also resist a backup body - it feels wrong to only have one body!

NEX does look an interesting bit of kit though. Just to throw another possibility into the mix, have you considered a waterproof c*mpact? Obviously quality and control won't be in the same league, but depending on which bits of Antipodes you're going to, if there's the opportunity to do so, there could be water based stuff going on that's beyond the capabilities of the weather sealing of a K5

Comment by Portland posted on Water, dust, general grubbiness. What can you get away with these days with lenses? at 26/08/2011 - 06:44
I've acquired a K10D which is weather sealed (to a degree, I'm not going swimming with it!) but was curious as to what degree of water exposure the lenses themselves can get away with, and if there are any particular precautions to take.
I've waiting to collect a Pentax kit zoom lens (WR version) tamron 70 - 300 zoom, Tamron 90mm macro and a Sigma 50mm
What I'm curious about is just how wet can you let lenses get these days without causing lasting damage and what can you do to mitigate it if they do get damp. Plus how much more can you get away with with WR lenses. In an ideal world, I'd get DA* lenses, for speed, quality and sealing, but without a chunky lottery win, that's not happening any time soon!
May seem an obvious thing to people, but focussing power has always been provided by my fingers rather than motors in the past, and I don't want to knacker my nice new glass.
Thanks in advance

Pentax WR short zoom, Sigma 1.4 50mm, Tamron 90mm macro, Tamron 70-300
Not high end kit, but the short zoom means I'll have something to take snaps in drizzle anyway.
