Thanks for being patient RR, I can't crack it at the moment so will try again tomorrow.
I was using this guide by Tyr, https://www.pentaxuser.com/forum/topic/Linking-Images-Into-Posts-4791 and suspect I'm being a numpty

Testing to see if I can upload from my new Flickr account.

Should be a view of a wasp nest I've been meaning to photograph for a while but Telstar gave me the incentive

If it works it's a view of the lower layer with my Tamron 90 with built in flash triggering off-camera flash with tissue diffusers

Loads and loads,
Walking to work I saw a sparrow trying to hover about 20ft away and just above head height, unusual enough to make me look twice, I then realised there was a darter dragonfly also hovering and every time the sparrow got within about a foot it would dart sideways a couple of feet and the sparrow turned around and tried again. After a few misses the dragonfly flew around a low tree chased by the sparrow which reappeared the other side minus dragonfly. Only time I've ever seen this behaviour.

Thanks Prieni, I normally use 200 and D-range on as I normally do hand-held and assumed it would give me a little more latitude. Your window blinds with D-range on look better and I can't see any deficit in the poppy so I'll continue with it on. (I don't get a lot of time on the computer since the g/f discovered Flickr with her mobile phone:roll.

I like both these images, the colours are a lot more varied than a normal wild nest so I reckon they've been chewing book covers or similar rather than just wood. I've got an old one at home but it is a single grey colour.
I thought the first image was a type of bracket fungus.

THe inside of them are like a paper honeycomb version of Beakynet's entry in weekly comp, but it would rely on you taking it apart (carefully from the base as it is very fragile when it loses structural integrity).

Worth checking if the hire company have reported the number plates as being stolen previously as it is difficult (but not impossible)to get plates nowadays as you need to provide ID, proof of ownership of vehicle etc, it is easier to steal them from the same make and colour as your own vehicle. Unless a hire car employee had some spares made...
It is possible to get any plate you want with NO ID very easily. Many sites on the web advertise the production of "show plates". These are number plates that you can put on any vehicle but not for road use. However, as well as all the weird and wonderfull fonts and styles they also make "road legal" plates with standard fonts and backgrounds. Anyone can order any plate without ID - the site just stresses that they are not legal as they haven't been produced following the production of ID.
I don't want to promote this activity just make people aware that it is VERY EASY to clone number plates

This thread opened a real can of worms!

I've always taken it to mean the 'out-of-focus-bits', so you can have good or bad bokeh, depending on whether it's aesthetically pleasing or not.

It'll be interesting to see how the word evolves.

(Mods, let me know if you don't want me to link to other forums).

try a search on "swirly bokeh"

must try my Helios-44 lens....

I was impressed with Mifsuds in Brixham, nice shop and staff with a good choice of equipment. I bought my K20D +16-45 there as the nearer shops in Exeter only had it with the 18-55. Well worth a visit if you are in the area, then around the corner to Berry Head for the views, then lunch at Terry's Pizza Parlour in King st near the harbour.

Also a nod to Opticron.co.uk; I ordered a T-Mount to K-Mount adapter on a friday lunchtime and it arrived saturday.
