Thanks for the link...but that is not exactly what I am searching for. I am aware of those bags...they are able to facilitate a camera up/down to 5 metres. I am speaking about proper scuba diving, that I can take the camera to 20 - 30 metres.

I do like the second version...getting rid of the leaf definitely improves the picture...
I don't think it is too sharp...I like how you almost got a 3D-effect...at least in my opinion...

I actually doubt the EWA can be use for real scuba diving, the problem is that the water pressure when you go relatively deep will press all the buttons or don't you think so?
I am not that sure..they mention, that you have to fill the EWA with air to deal with the water pressure...I am no physician but I suppose that could work

Thanks for the hint...I haven't heard about that app...I have to look into it...

I never looked into the magic lantern book...I read Yvon Bourque's K20D book. It is more of an extended manual..but nicely written and reveals some nice tricks..and for 10$ as download it is not that bad

Housings for the K-x are available and with that combo low light/high iso would be a breeze. Cos some things down there can't be lit by flash.
First of all...I would have to buy a k-x and a housing, whereas I already have a K20D.

Secondly, I haven't seen any housings for the K-x excpet for that one link

And since my Japanese does not exist, I can't say anything about price etc.

Thanks for your advices. I am aware of the high costs of a solid housing. I have seen the Ewa marine housings and they look quite interesting. I thought about using a P&S underwater-camera, however, trying those from friends left me unsatisfied.

The difference between the Ewa marine flexible housing and the diveross solid housing is quite significant. Do you really can go down to 80m with the Ewa marine?? Not that I want, I am a BSAC diver and am very happy around 20 - 30m.

I mean with O-rings it is the same as with every camera and scuba diving gear..maintenance is key

Hi fellow pentaxusers...

Is anyone of you into Underwater Photography. I am thinking of combining my two favorite hobbies, scuba diving and photography. However, I know that this increases the costs for a while. Therefore, I would like to ask for some advice.
I own a K20D the 18 - 55mm WR zoom, the 16 -45mm f/4 zoom and a FA 50mm prime. What kind of housing would you suggest or do you use? Which would be the best lens for UW? I am thinking of using the prime, because I don't think a zoom as applicable in a housing. Am I wrong?

Thanks for your help.
Dan
