It was purchased new from Clifton Cameras in December 2011.
It has an image count of between 1,800-1,900 (I haven't checked the shutter actuations, but they should be the same as I have never reset the image numbering)
It comes with original box, manual, all cables etc.
I have always tried to treat my camera equipment with care, and I cannot see any scratches or marks anywhere. It is in good clean condition, and to the best of my knowledge everything is in good working order.
I am looking for offers in excess of £400 (plus £10 for recorded delivery plus paypal charges if that method of payment is chosen)

(I shall be out for the day on Sunday 21st April testing out the IIs at Mallory Park, so will be unable to respond to anybody on that day until the evening)

It's very curious how inconsistent everyone's experience with this is, and especially your experience, Chris, with different body/lens combinations.
Does anybody know - is the SR linked to the AF at all, or is it a completely independent system? I'm wondering whether that might be a contributory factor.
Also, does the firmware version make a difference?
Either of these might account for the different behaviour between different camera body/lens combinations.

(BTW, I used to be a SAAB owner too - 4 of them in fact. I agree they used to be a great car until Chrysler got involved. I also use a Mac computer. It's good not to follow the crowd like a load of sheep!)

In particular, I'm thinking about motor sport photography, where I'm tending to use higher shutter speeds with a longer lens (300mm).
I have to admit to (so far) not really looking for the green 'hand' icon, as I'm concentrating more on panning and framing of the shot, and tend to make the assumption (perhaps incorrectly) that the SR will normally be fast enough to keep up with me.
Am I better off de-activating the SR, so that it does not blur the shot if it's not ready, provided that I am using high enough shutter speeds?
I'd be grateful for your opinions.

DNG format is pretty well universally recognised, and to the best of my belief there's no particular advantage to using PEF, so it just seems to be much less troublesome to use DNG.
