In my opinion, Metz makes a great flashes because of the quality at the good price.
Get 50 AF-1(i think that's the model no. after new updates) or 58 AF-2.
Flashes with smaller guide numbers will be better for home use. Another good thing about 58AF-2 is that it has a second flash.

Totally agree with Algernon. I was happy about rubber lens hood until discovered the metal ones. You can fix it on the lens backwards while carrying in bag. Handy things!

I would highly recommend you Spyder calibration tools. They had hardware for calibrating printers as well (i don't know if they are still manufacturing these gadgets).

Softwares are based on average estimates but spyder tools read more than that.
