I've used Malwarebytes Anti-Malware which has picked up some things that have slipped past AVG Free. It's free and fast.

Welcome - I also have the Kx twin lens - and I've still got my Zenit B. I can always use it for an anchor.

As a newbie who enjoys aviation photography, I've been following this thread with interest. I'm considering a longer lens for this (I'm presently using a vintage Tamron 80-210 redeployed from my old film kit, with a x2 - which really isn't up to it) and looking at the Pentax 55-300, or possibly the Sigma or Tamron 70-300. What do people recommend? Is 300 long enough? Or would a longer prime be better? Advice from those with wisdom and experience please!

I've been following this topic, as I had much the same original question - and the same budget constraint! The replies have been very helpful to me (as a lurker rather than a contibutor) as I have be weighing up the merits of Tamron/Sigma/Pentax and I think my mind is now made up. Might miss the macro, but so what!

Hello all, just joined the group having been lurking for a couple of months. I'm fairly new to digital (although not to Pentax, have been using a couple of ME Supers for some years). Now finding my way around a K-x with the kit lenses and a further assortment of vintage glassware. Interested in vintage aviation photography, historical engineering and bird watching.
