Battery charger found hiding. Panic over!

Inexplicably I cannot find the charger for my Pentax K-r. I'm usually quite careful about keeping track of such things, so I'm starting to wonder whether one came with the camera, which was bought new and, seeing a picture of one on a website, I don't recall getting such a device. Is the charger part of the package when buying a new K-r.

The Charger sounds like it might be a good buy. Sorry your Ansmanns let you down, I've never used them before, so I'm hoping I don't share your experience. The two 4xpacks of Ansmann 2850Ah cells I ordered online yesterday arrived this morning, an impressive turnaround, but there is no indication of charging time on the packaging. As I don't have much experience of rechargable batteries, I don't want to overcharge them (if this is possible). Can anyone advise me as to the charging time and if it is possible to damage a cell by overcharging.I only have an ordinary Maplins multi cell charger and some Maplin's AA's which I have always given about three hours of charge.

I have recently bought a Pentax Kr which comes with a rechargeable battery pack. I am wondering whether I should buy a spare one or invest in the optional AA adaptor. If the latter, is there a preferred AA battery type.

Thanks, everyone for your comments and advice. I'm fairly new to this digital photography lark, and this was the first time I had ever used RAW, which I only tried because camera reviews suggest it captures all the information of the photographed image. I obviously have quite a lot to learn.
