In spite of Pentax not offically being there, it still a worthwhile event to go to. And some of the talks are excellent.

The offical line in the past is "We prefer to spend our money on advertising". Read into that what you will.
However, the upside is that a number of dealers at the show DO have all the kit available to play with, if that is scant consolation.
I wonder if SRS will be there? Chris?

You would think Rizlas would scratch the glass, but it would appear not.
Useful tip there methinks....

There was an interesting throw-away comment in AP's review of the K-5, where it was suggested that PEF did give superior results although the convenience of DNG outweighed that.
However, what I have got so far with DNG seem fine. (albeit only 70 shots so far.)
However, I will upgrade CS4 at some point.

I use silver Rizla papers.
You naughty boy Mike. But at least it will give you some "interesting" effects.....
Green ones are much cheaper.

However, the reality now is, there is very little difference between them, well at least for me

The one interesting bit was the rivals, at first talked about the 60D and D7000 (fair enough, they are the price rivals after all) but then talked about comparisions against the 7D and D300s, and how it was equivilent to them with FPS etc. Good old AP, Finally realising that the K-5 is a rival to all four......
Shame that Practical Photography was not quite so glowing, but there you go....
Will be interesting to reading Photography Monthly when they review it (probably next month)

Even if they were there people would be complaining about the size of their stand - just as they did in Cologne and New York .
