I recently bought a GGS one and its really good. Its quite thick the material so it definitely protects the screen...Just make sure you clean the screen well before you put one on. I cleaned it 3 times before I did just to be safe !

I was out yesterday in the sun with my k20d and I couldn't see the screen at all without shading it with my hand. I'm not sure if wearing glasses or not adds to this - but it does get annoying.

On my old iPhone the screen was actually ok in sunlight due to a protective skin over the screen, but my current phone is pretty impossible to use in bright light.

When it comes to pc building I usually just set a limit to how much I want to spend then work to that. I've not upgraded my pc in awhile now but I'm running an i5 2500k on an MSI P67A-GD55 motherboard, 6 or 8gb 1600mhz ram (cant remember which haha), a single samsung sata II and a single ATI XFX 5870.

That above runs anything I want from computer games to Adobe After Effects, given that those parts are quite dated now, you could pick up a similar setup for very cheap.

SSDs are nice too, but I could never justify buying one .
