Morten,
I'd suggest using a focus chart, a tripod, and using the Custom menu to Adjust AF for the particular lens.

I normally take a picture load them onto the computer and set the white balance do some crop if need and that's about it.
But as i can see from this i have to do more before i release the picture...
The only thing that is nagging me is that i have to do more on this house than i had to do on the K10.

By the way, if you shot in RAW do you have an original image that you can put a link and I can dl and try to manipulate it?
Or if not then the full JPG would do but in its original size
Also the lens is the lens i used on the K10D so i know what i expect from that lens on the K10D.
But i think that i have to get into more post processing but that is not my trade if you know what i mean.
if I do post processing I do it in lightroom and that it.

I think you are getting too bogged down pixel peeping. The normal view shows sharp pictures.
You might be right on that but if i look at a picture from my "old" Camera i don't see this blurryness even if i zoom 100%
What your workflow ??
What are your camera settings ?

TAMRON AF 18-250mm F3.5-6.3 Di II LD Aspherical [IF] MACRO
Picture light house 1(7mb)
Picture light house 2(7mb)
If you look at the Lighthouse red/white it don't seams to be scarp. You will have to zoom 100%
Picture wood (7mb)
on this one it's the wood that seams very blurry.
Let me know what you think.

I'me posting here since i don't know where else to put this post. And i'me new to this forum.
I have recently bought the K20D and i was using the K10D. on the K10D i always got great sharp pictures. this does not seams to be the case with the K20D.
Now since i know that i got the right brand of camera since i loved the K10D "had to sell it " I was wondering if there was anybody else that have expericed this. I think that my pictures are blurry compared to the K10D and i have tryed the Back - front focus on the camera but without any luck "I must just be plain stupid " if there is anybody that can help me out it would be great. I have concidered to take the camera back to the dealer and let them have a look at it but i would like to be sure that i have tryed everything before i do that..
Thanks for whatever responce

One of the reasons i have asked this question is that i would be sure that it was me and not the camera that was doing something wrong. Also because i have been thinking of buying the 150-500mm sigma for wildlife photography.
