I own a Metz 58 AF2. Very good construction, a lots of function, fully compatible, easy use, etc. I'm very happy with it.
Furthemore, if you want to work with more than one, you can buy other Metz flash like the 50/48/44 because they can work in slave mode. Thanks to the P-TTL pentax flash control it will be easy and cheap : there's no need to buy any wireless trigger (if the distance is around 5 meters, I don't try further).

Buy a Metz is'nt a waste of money

Just be very carefull if you look around second hand ancient flashes (I mean argentic flashes), they can destroy the camera or them selves because of high voltage delivery... if you put them on your camera. In slave mode (with optical trigger for example) it's ok !

To finish, if you haven't used flash on a camera before, search for tutorial about synchronisation speed (its 1/180 for the K7 if I remember well) and about balance between flash light and ambiant light. I highly recommend you the "strobist website" :

My name is Julien, and I'm french (from Caen in Lower-Normandie). So if my english insn't perfect, don't blame it on me, but on my english teacher ;D

I'm in Civil engineering school, to be in the future, civil engineer or chief foreman. Yes I love concrete, a solid career plan ^^

So to return to the main subject, I take photos from three years now, with one years learning with a pro-photograph during my High School studies.

I like some great photograph style, Berenice Abbott, Li Wei (a little mad this guys no ? ) are some examples...

So what I like to photograph are portraits, urban landscapes and people, like a reporter photograph... I try in reality because I don't have the talent of these great photograph ^^ I'm still a beginner.
I'll begin wedding photos (friends wedding's). I want to see if I'll be able to do this well, to, perhaps, continue in this way. My final love, is my country where I born. No landscape but the domestic faun, the ancient houses... and people of course ^^ I love that...

I work with a K20D with Grip and 3/4 lens (and my favorite the Tamron 24-75mm f2.8 ^^). I learn with the pro-photograph how to work with argentic, perhaps in the future !
