Sale of 12-24 pending to Pwynnej with the hilarious profile pic.

So yes, the package deal is probably off.

The Sigma was bought in October 09, and yes I do have the receipt. Not sure about warranty, but I should hope they handle at least 12 months?!? I never filled out any cards or anything.

Hello,

Great opportunity for someone looking to jump head first into a fine Pentax system! I would ideally like to sell everything as a package for cash in person (in central London). I'll also list items separately, but would still prefer not to ship if possible. Everything listed is in excellent++ condition with ZERO blemishes and only minor signs of use on normal wear spots (camera strap, lens contact points, etc.)...very well taken care of. Open to best offers on all items.

PACKAGE OFFER - £1,725 - List price for entire package from SRS & reputable shops is over £2,500

Or sold separately:

Pentax K-x 18-55 & 55-300 kit + Extras - £500 ono with Original box, manuals, cables, etc. Extras include 2x Sandisk SD cards (4 gb each), USB card reader w/case, Hoya UV, Warm & Circ Polarizer filters (62mm w/ 52mm step up ring), Pentax Wireless Remote F, and Lowepro EX160 padded camera bag (navy blue & black). Still the original firmware (never messed with it), about 2000-2500 shots "guess-timate" from how many I kept in Lightroom. (Kx Kit £545 new from SRS, plus extras worth at least another £100 new or so)

Pentax DA 40mm Limited - £250 ono with box, manual, soft pouch and hood... however I lost the lens cap somewhere (damn those things are small!). Still in perfect shape and the hood protects the lens extremely well. (£359 new from SRS)

Pentax DA 12-24 - £500 ono with box, replacement lens cap (nice pinch style one just like the original and actually seems to hang on better), with TWO original Pentax pedal hoods! Excellent+ (£849 new from SRS)

Sigma 30mm F1.4 - £300 ono with everything - box, cap, hood, padded case, etc. near mint (£395 new from SRS)

Metz 58 AF1 flashgun - £220 ono with manual, padded case & Stofen diffuser...can't seem to find the box but it may turn up, and the flash is in MINT shape anyway. BONUS including iShoot wireless triggers with box, cable, etc. they work great! (£250 new from SRS + £20 for the triggers)

Joby GorillaPod SLR Zoom + Manfrotto 484RC2 ball head - £50 (£80+ new)

Slick Sprint Pro 3-Way tripod w/head - £50 with bag(£70 new)

I'll be happy to hear any offers and answer any questions.

Cheers,
Mugs ("Dana")

Hello,

Anyone interested in meeting up for an evening to help a noob learn learn the basics of shooting with flash? I'm in W2 London but can meet pretty much anywhere on the tube... and would be happy to pick up the tab for dinner & a pint.

Really excited about a big trip to Istanbul & Prague at the end of March, so I'm hoping to pick up flash skills to get even more creative shots beyond the landscapes and architecture that I'm pretty proud of from previous trips.

I've been shooting with a Pentax DSLR for 2 years, first on a K200D and now Kx. Of course I jumped right in the deep end and bought the full featured Metz 58. Feeling confident with my shots in natural light, but for some reason I'm a little lost getting the most our of my new flash. It feels like the only thing I'm using it for is making whatever is in front of me brighter, but I'm eager to learn how to be more creative with light and better command of all the functions/settings (only effectively using on-camera auto modes now).

If you are already using the 58 that would be outstanding. Or if you're a flash master using something else, but are curious to test out my 58 on your rig, I'll be happy to share. I'd be happy to share my meager lens collection if you'd like to test any on your rig - DA 12-24, DA 40 Limited, Sigma 30 1.4 and the 55 & 300 kit lenses.

Or... links to good flash threads are always appreciated.

Thanks!
Mugs

Thanks Anvh... I'm thinking the focus speed is more important for me right now. If/when I get a dedicated Macro lens, I think I'll want one with more of a med-telephoto length (DA100 or Sig 105).

Angela - sending PM now, I'd be happy to chat about the camera or at least my limited experience with it over the last few days.
