I start the ship travel to the Antartic Base tomorrow, so I will not write again until February, but when I return I will show you the photos. I have taken note your advices and I will use in the glaciers.

My camera is a K-X. Thanks for the links, are very interesting.
My English is not very good too, pardon me if I dont express myself very well !
I wanted to say I'll buy a polarized for tests, but I´ll do the pictures in the snow using the overexposure, without the polarized.

I´ll try to get a polarised filter here, only just in case I need it, but I´ll try to make the photos without it, using the over-exposure as you have said.

Hi!
I need some help: It´s necessary a polarized filter to take photos in the snow? Some tell me that it is necessary and others say the polarized filters distort the colors. I've never used one of these, so I need some opinions about!

Don´t worry, when I return, i´ll show you some photos, that land is really spectacular.
I have enough batteries to take photos along 2 months, and this camera, with the AA lithium batteries, seems to hold fairly. Since I have arrived to Ushuaia the Friday, I´ve been taking photos to everything that moves, and the camera shows the battery indicator full!
Mannesty, I´m from Ribeira, in the coast of Galicia.
Don´t worry, when I return, i´ll show you some photos, that land is really spectacular.

Hi to all.
I just bought a K-X, and it is my first experience with the DSLR. I`m from Spain, but at this moment I am in Ushuaia, at the south of Argentina, in transit to a Spanish Antartic Base (Juan Carlos I)in wich I am the mechanic. I`ve been there the last year too, and I regretted very much of not having a good camera, so this year I will make things right.
I will learn from you as much as possible in these days, so thanks for recieve me!!!
