Seeing as you've started this thread, I'd thought I'd join in!

I'm also a new member, and very much look forward to picking up some hints and tips and having some discussion with everyone on the board.

Cheers

George and Kim

Thanks for advice, I might just take MXV up on that - I can bear to part with £30 as opposed to £90!

It looks like Avon might have got confused with the flash I had, as others in the range would require the flash adapter and this would have pushed the price up quite a bit. As it stands, they were correct in specifying the lead and camera adapter I would need, but the price they offered looks a bit on the heavy side.

Many thanks

Matt

Hi Kim

I have a similar problem with a zoom lens, it's getting to the stage where it looks like vaseline in the lens!

Did you have any luck with repairing it? I always thought severe cases were pretty terminal, but it's pretty distressing to have to junk a good lens!

Cheers

Hi all

I'm not really interested in getting into the arguments over the prices that are being quoted, but is £200-£250 a reasonable price for an MZS? I only ask as it does seem a bit low to me, the only one I've actually seen for sale was the one that Kim (I think) mentioned for sale for £400 in Bath. Granted, it was mint (I had a try and it was immaculate) and boxed, but still £400. If they are now going for around the £250 mark, I might just keep an eye out for one - my MZ-3 cost £220 mint and boxed and my PZ-1p £200 in OK condition, but the MZS is both a lot newer and (in the case of the MZ-3) a lot more expensive when new, hence my surprise at £200-£250 being a suitable price for a mint one.

Also, a small point perhaps, but I think you have to be a member or subscriber to be able to post on the classifieds board, I'd suggest that's why a lot of people are trying to sell here.

Matt

p.s. Kim, apologies for delay in sending you scans of the battery grip FG manual, gremlins in the scanner! I'll keep trying.
