A simple and inexpensive eyecup, which clips onto the viewfinder, helped me in the same situation with my Super-A.

Looks like bracketed focussing combined with psuedo-video to me. Rapidly shoot a number of frames whilst moving focus slightly between frames. You'd simply select which frame/frames you'd like to keep.

Well, that's how I'd do it anyway, but nobody asked me.

Check out this thread where I've mentioned it before (Maybe Pentax really do listen to us).

Of course there will be technical hurdles to overcome, but that's somebody else's job.

Have a look at Lumiquest Softbox and Mini-Softbox. They attach to the gun with Velcro. Sto-Fen Omnibounce is another useful, easy to use diffuser.

Has anybody used one of these ? Any feedback welcomed.

The SMC Pentax DA 18-250mm fits your requirements almost exactly and only a tad shorter than your 70-300mm at the long end. It's very compact too.

Nice shot but looks a bit soft to me.

Did you try taking some at f11 or f16? If yes, you might find that the in-focus portion is sharper at the expense of DOF, but that's no big deal.

I agree, this is a .co.uk website and should be based on UK time . . . even if it is wrong (when compared to the rest of Europe).

If you live (and purchased the camera) in Europe, it's still in warranty. Check out directive 1999/44/EC. Since 2003, European consumers benefit from 2 years warranty on new goods, 1 year on used.

Happy Christmas.

It doesn't really matter what name is on your flash, it's the images it produces that counts.
