Hi there folks

I've just bought my first DSLR - a Pentax K-r kit and an additional secondhand Pentax 55-300 lens. I don't have a clue what I'm doing as yet, but am hoping this forum , the OU digital imaging course I've enrolled on , and my big brother (who's a member here :wink will help me to get there.

I'll upload a few images shortly, in the hopes of some gentle pointers to guide me on my way.

From hundreds of students doing that course very few seem to have a Pentax, so I'm sure I will be coming back here to ask for advice. I'm a total novice, so I'm pleased to hear you're a friendly bunch. Hopefully you'll steer me in the right direction when I ask ridiculous questions and make total gaffs, as I am bound to do
