At one day's notice I have been asked to take to the air in a light aircraft and take some aerial photographs of our village. We take off this afternoon (8th March) at 2pm.

I have an *ist D which I intend to set at ISO 400 and Hi Speed mode. It looks like being a sunny day.

I have a 20mm, 28mm, 50mm and 75-300mm zoom. (Each will be x1½ for the ist D).

Any tips, apart from hanging on tight?

Thanks - never thought of that! I'll wait for the new puffer.

Thanks. I have ordered one.

Out of interest, a blower might only circulate the dust within the camera body.

Would any harm be done by using a Dyson vacuum hose to SUCK the dust away rather than BLOW it around providing no physical contact is made between the hose and the camera body?

Thanks for the advice. I'll try the heavy duty puffer route.

I have tried blowing the dust off the CCD, but it still needs more cleaning to remove small dark circular areas that appear in photos of clear skies.

What is the view on cleaning fluids and swabs such as those at

I am thinking of migrating from Photoshop Elements to Photoshop 7 (CS is not suitable as I don't have Windows XP).

The thought process started so I can use the Pentax RAW plugin that will not work with Elements.

What other extras do I get for a lot more money?

Thanks for the encouragement.

3rd attempt at a download and install worked.

I should have said that the software relates to the *ist D camera.

I had this fault with mine and it turned out to be a problem with the contacts on the camera body and any lens I used. I returned it to Camerworld and it was replaced by return.

The camera behaves as if no lens is attached.

I suggest speaking to the supplier and asking for a replacement.
