In time either the 50-200 or the 70-300 will go........ wanted something longer than the 200, and at £70 s/h bought the Sigma.

Seems to be hundreds of comments around good quality lenses, and my K-m came with stock twin lens kit - 18-55 and 50-200, and have since bought a Sigma 70-300 for that bit more reach (though its disappointing at full length)
Anyhow, what is the different in quality to say the standard 50-200 Kit lens and something with similar range but a lot more expensive "glassware" -
does anyone on here have both lenses and can take a pic with each of them so can see the difference?
I am sure there is loads, and in the golfing world am sure its the difference between a donnay and a callaway, but to a newbie, I cannot appreciate the difference.

Took a few pics, and started a trend as mobile phones and point and shoots appeared from nowhere.... felt slightly self conscious at having the 70-300 lens on...

To be honest though, the video shooting bit doesn't excite me at all, would rather soend the ££ on a decent body,

Took some shots of the moon with it, but haven't really tried it out on much else to be honest...... bit of an impulse buy, probably going to sell it soon.........

yeah - we converted our 2 entries today, into a season ticket....... was fun today with all the chicks / goslings etc....... about 15 greylag goslings running towards you (as in treading on your feet) then various adult greylags getting miffed because you were too close to the littleun's......
Just really want to see a kingfisher.......... then i will be happy.

Obviously with a Pentax mount,
Preferably with all the aperature rings and the little "pen" thing that helps get them out.......
Thanks
