I'm not sure why you are using duckduckgo as a search engine. Its supporters say that it doesn't track your search activity, which may be true, but unfortunately, IMHO, it's not a very good search engine in that it often doesn't find things for which you may be searching! It also seems very US centric, which may be OK in the USA, but is of less use here in the UK.

Thank you for taking the time and trouble to follow-up.

I found more detailed information about dismantling the lens on the Pentaxforums website and managed to take it apart sufficiently to gain access to the helical thread. There, I applied heat from my wife's hairdryer, which persuaded the thread to move, albeit rather stiffly. I have applied some silicon gease, hopefully to prevents it seizing up again, so hopefully it's fixed.

I've had a Tokina 500mm Mirror Lens for a while, but it's not been used for a couple of years. I got it out to try it with my K3-3, but the focus has seized solid. - I can't move the barrel at all. The lens has been in a drawer since last used, so it's not been dropped or otherwise abused.

Anyone know what could have happened? Does anyone have disassembly instructions so I can have a go at fixing it?

Thanks for a sight of your trials with your Sunpak.

As you say, #2 seems under exposed. I did think that #1 might have been a bit over exposed, but it looked much better when I viewed it on my main machine, which has a much better monitor, so I think that's fine. I'm not sure about #3 - the catchlights on the apple are a bit fierce!

It's encouraging for a relatively small outlay, I'd say.

Does anyone out there have any experience of using a manual ring flash - such as the Sunpak 16R or the Metz with a Pentax K10?
