slightly old thread but add my two peneth
I used to use Photobox a lot, but previous two batches (Sept and Nov 09) were dreadfully dark and all my B&W were green. Sept got reprinted for free by photobox, but November convinced me to look elsewhere - since I wait till there are c100 prints to run looking for sensible prices (a la Photobox) but suspect, as always, you get what you pay for
My main need is 7.5 x 5" for Arrowfile albums (to match the Kodachrome et al) - chap in Jessops told me that had 'never' been a standard size (!!?) so I dont go there much . . .
Peak is great (and handy) and I will accept the cost for the stuff to hang on the wall. Loxley is a new name to me, so off to investigate

Been reading stuff here for a while and thought it really was time to actually join in
Shoot K10D mostly with MF lenses of various forms
Voigtlander 58mm f1.4 is a favourite, but recently acquired Tamron 135mm CT135 and Tamron 80-210mm 103A as latest toys - thank you Pentax for letting me use old glass on new kit !
all my (lovely) Olympus stuff will be on its way to Ffordes soon to fund my obscure lens addiction - reckon some M42 toys are next, if I can afford an M42 to PK mount !

I had similar dilemma and eventually plumped for the DA 70
It was a bit dissapointing in use and lacked the lovely feel of the 77. Fairly quickly returned it for the Voigtlander 58mm f1.4 and have been more than happy with the choice for my purposes - it is both a magnificent portrait lens (f1.4 to f2) and resolution monster (f4 plus). Only if you can live with manual focus though
