Been reading stuff here for a while and thought it really was time to actually join in

Shoot K10D mostly with MF lenses of various forms

Voigtlander 58mm f1.4 is a favourite, but recently acquired Tamron 135mm CT135 and Tamron 80-210mm 103A as latest toys - thank you Pentax for letting me use old glass on new kit !

all my (lovely) Olympus stuff will be on its way to Ffordes soon to fund my obscure lens addiction - reckon some M42 toys are next, if I can afford an M42 to PK mount !

Welcome to the forum, it looks like you have caught the LBA virus.

Hi & welcome. Only recently joined myself, found this to be a very friendly and helpful place. Being able to use old glass is great isn't it?

Welcome to the forum, I'm afraid the only thing we can't help with is LBA.

Don't worry though your not alone, most of us have fallen victim to this (wallet) crippling complaint and some are even recovering!

Have a look at this adaptor, it could save you some cash. I know it's not a genuine Pentax one but still...
Cheers, HG

thanks for link Hardgravity, with all the stories about variable quality on non Pentax adaptors I have been looking for a good deal on a genuine Pentax one, my limit has been £25 and on ebay most of the recent sales have been thereabouts

US prices are still much lower than UK (though some US pentax dealers wont ship Pentax outside US because of "contractual reasons")

My 'new in the bag one' arrived this morning. Cost £25 which seems plenty for what it is, even with 'value in use' pricing £65 seems a bit steep

Need to win that M42 lens I have my eye on now . . .

Hello and welcome,

Hope you have fun using all your old lenses (very much enjoy this aspect of owning a Pentax DSLR). Looking forward to seeing your results.

I've a few M42 lenses which (I think) yield quite good results, considering the relatively low cost.

Best wishes,

Andrew
