Starting to think Hubble was a waste of money.

I was back there again this morning, same conditions (lucky again!) With my K10D and K200D.
Took about 10 more shots but still haven't got "the one".
My personal preference is the first but unfortunately the top 3rd of the framing was too bright.
The third one appears to be very popular with the Flickr crowd.
Anyway, I will leave this shot alone for the time being and move to pastures new!

All nice on a morning walk with my favourite being the last one 🙂

Didn't quite capture what I wanted so returned on Wednesday morning. Two more shots with different framing:
Quite pleased with the set of 3 and they came free with morning exercise!

I personally have never done any post processing other than perhaps a small amount of cropping and this is very rare for me.
There are too many images out there that have been over processed or badly processed that are detracting from what photography is all about
That said......
What you have done with this image is (in my mind) nothing short of amazing.
If this had been my photo, and I do have lots of similar ones, I would have discarded it.
You may have converted me

Last night I pointed my deep sky kit at probably the most photographed subject beyond our solar system...
Orion...
This lead me to troll the gallery here.
This was the first image of the Orion Nebula I put up. Shot in my back garden!
Just over two years down the line, I shot this in my back garden last on new years day!
I love the journey I have undertook of discovery and learning!!

The first one is great, right up my street and yes, they are better with the black background.

All three have their individual appeal - nicely done
