I was told that it's 49mm, but I ordered some and they don't fit.
Is it 52mm I should have bought?

The good news is I went into the menu and changed the 'Using Aperture ring' function. Now it works and it's good.
Thanks very much for all the help and suggestions.
Just one more thing. The lens came without a front lens cap.
The lens cap that came with my kit lens doesn't fit it.
How would I find out the size of the lens to order a replacment lens cap?

Nothing happened, so I switched to MF.
Still nothing happened.
I assume there may be settings in the Menu I need to apply.

But when I first connected it, I can't fire off a shot. The shutter button does nothing.
Am I doing something wrong?
Do I have to do something else once I've fitted the lens?
I'm a new DSLR user so excuse my ignorance.

What length of time should I expect my K-x to last?
I assumed - what, with the high price I paid - that this camera would last at least 5 years. Am I being unreasonable?
