What was the price?

I had one that I barely used (and it went for a crazy price last year).
£249, and No I didn't buy it. Dammit! There's one on the US Pentax Forum for $400

I always leave the tripod at home.
All my macros are shot handheld. I end up on my knees, laying down, climbing into bushes, trees. Tried the tripod once, just not for me, out in the field.
Keep a look out for a Set of ext tubes. Fairly cheep and you'll get more magnification

👍👍👍👍
Lol. I can't get up if I get down.... I have used the tripod quite a bit, fine for Spids, they don't move too much, useless for anything that flies...

Evening. I've been considering getting a dedicated flash for Macro, and have seen lots of good things written about the AF160FC, but, it's no longer made and seemingly rare as hens teeth. Also, being a ring flash it's not considered the best option. Therefore I'm possibly looking at a Twin Flash unit.
Does anyone have any experience of using these, and more importantly, know of a decent unit that is K3 compatible?

Cheers

Good shooting, I know only too well the trials of nailing focus with bugs. You did well in what looks like daylight (no flash)
Thanks. Yes, daylight, no flash and handheld as I'd left the tripod in the car....

Great Images. I tried something like this today... And it isn't that easy… I wont be showing the results...Lol !!
Haha, no it's not easy at all, getting the focus point right is tough. I discarded a lot. Thanks for the compliment.

Nice to break out the 100mm Macro and K3 over the weekend. A few shots of Nursery Web Spiders from Rainham

No, not in custom, in Aperture Priority. Does seem odd! I'll look at the settings.

I've gone to Nikon/Tamron for wildlife shooting, and I couldn't go back, it's just better, faster for birds in flight, and the 600mm reach on the Tamron makes a huge difference for my type of shooting. It's sharp as a tack too.
I will be keeping my K3 for Macro, landscapes and everything else though, still the best camera I've owned. I've gone to Sigma for most lenses, other than the 2.8 Macro, as Pentax lens prices are too high, just purely due to supply and demand reasons. I recently sold my 150 450 for more than I paid 2 years ago, partly because I got a great deal at the time, but also because it's now a 2k lens, more than I paid for my Nikon 7500 and Tamron 150 600 together.

Hi all. My K3 and K3 II have started doing some weird and funky things, like changing ISO and f stop without being touched by me, and also, to use an example, I set ISO to match EV steps, so function 2 in custom settings, and it reverts back to 1 after every time it goes into standby.
Anyone else experienced this, or have an idea why? Cheers.
