When i switch on my optiow80 the screen comes on only for a couple of secs then goes blank,i can still take a picture but cannot see what i'm taking ..any ideas please .thankyou.

Pressing the "OK" button scrolls through four different display modes - one of which is to turn the monitor off during shooting for power saving. Just check you haven't selected that before anything else by pressing OK and choosing a different display mode.
