I just tested the new DAL 35/2.4 lens in Photokina fair. Very nice lens for the price. I took couple test photos with it and all are sharp and contrasty. Nice out of focus area and colors too. If you can wait for couple of weeks it is a nice option.

100mm/2.8 = 35.7mm
Even my SMC F 135mm/2.8 has 49mm filter thread. So 100/2.8 should not be a problem with 49mm filter thread.

But I have a different question: if Pentax were to release a FF camera within the next 2 years at a competitive price level (say below £2000), would you buy it?
Anyway the K-5 is an excellent camera and I am absolutely sure it is good enough for my needs for coming few years.
