Thanks for the settings Fletcher8, it's kinda the Shadow/Highlight settings I'm looking at at at the moment, The K5 will spoil me cause I can pretty much leave the Highlight protection on all the time but Fiddling may be required for the K7? Do you find Landscape or Vivid works for you straight out of the box most of the time? I take it that the Layers are to protect the original Tiff so you can scrap it and go back to the original at will? Good idea and I've ruined many a shot in my time by not doing just that! I remember starting to do it but it's a good discipline to have. (Another new Years Resolution)
I'll start experimenting with the K7 when/if the K5 Comes (It was due today Bah Humbug:twisted

I have been using mine in Portrait with Fine Sharpness on but am I therefore not getting the best from it? I remember always shooting in Muted Colour with The Nikon DSLR'S I am used to but Portrait I picked out of the hat, simply because all the Paramaters in the Menu were set to the middle and I quite liked the colour. I like pentax Colours by the way! (In the literal sense I'm not quite ready for a Robot Kr yet though:twistedSince I do a fair bit of PP on my Pictures usually, because I'm a Fiddler and just can't help it! Should I be shooting the K7 differently:

Mine of course was a stained sensor...

However I have to say Bravo to SRS! I was a Nikon user for 25Yr's and have never been treated by a Shop or Camera Company as well as this!
Even beats Grays of Westminster, I used to be a Nikon Professional services Member so I know about shoddy oh yes...

Restart...
Yeah I think it may, just need to get another exam or two under my belt and I'll be steady away I think. I took a Computer Science Degree which I finished in the Summer just as the Government decided to Stop funding IT! Taking another couple of Microsoft specific Exams in the new year to round out my qualifications, and also one in Dreamweaver. I want to put up my own Photography Website, (Don't we all dream of this?) and get some of my best work out there but on a Website designed and built by me, I don't want someone elses idea of what it should be but my own. Then I want to go into website design for other Photographers who maybe have the desire but not the knowhow...

Erm off at a bit of a tangent there, venting rant over, normal service will be resumed.
Someone please buy the Lens to stop me looking at it:arrow:

I'm just happy to know it is on it's way, somewhere. Probably stuck at Heathrow, though I have no idea which airport they actually use. With a bit of luck it is Stanstead .
I don't expect it before Christmas tbh, though it would be great if it did make it.
Jules, I hope yours reaches you tomorrow. All these delivery services are doing their best under really difficult circumstances.
I haven't had many Christmas cards from the UK - they'll probably get here in mid January .
I'm ok with the weather as since losing the old jobberoonie i've been out a lot in the Fells and the Snow, in between opening rejection letters that is
Most folks in Britain ain't used to the idea of buying Micro Spikes/YakTrax to get around on but Sales of them have gone thru the roof this Winter, the outdoor retailers just can't get enough of em.
I've seen quite a few Pedestrian/road Accidents this year, all too many
I can wait an Extra day to get my Replacemant K5:arrow:
