Yes - they are built to the same standard size so they should fit in any P series holder.

Cheers,

Jon

I think I would buy a good quality circular polariser for your largest lens, and then step up rings to enable you to use it with other lenses in your collection.

If you wish to use ND Grads, then the P series filters are better. My HiTech wide angle holder for P series filters can hold up to three filters.

I would compare the prices of HiTech starter kits with Cokin - there may not be much difference and the former is generally reckoned to be of significantly higher quality than the latter.

Now if only someone would put up a wanted ad for my Voigtlander Ultron and I'd be sorted!

Here's more info and images for the Voigtlander Ultron - still for sale and a great full frame cut-price rival to a "Limited" lens.

Info first: the key thing is to note that the lens is less than a year old (bought November 2009) so will still come with some manufactuer's warrantee. I'll include the original sales receipt.

Now for some images, first of the lens and various bits and bobs:

Now wearing its cute little lens hood (which you normally leave permanently on):

And finally wearing the close up lens that comes as part of the package:

And so what can it do? Here's a quick snap tonight of a couple of miniature bottles, to give an idea of how nicely things can blur, and how sharp it is wide open at f2:

Moving on to a subject that people will be familiar with, here is another f2 shot at closest focus distance:

And this is the difference that the close up filter can make. It's quite handy, but does add a small amount of purple fringing around high contrast areas. These last two images were uncropped, by the way:

All of these photos can be seen at larger size in the following gallery:

Other details as per the start of this thread, and I am going to be pretty firm on price: if I don't get close to what I'm asking, then I'll keep it. This lens is too good for me to sell it for a stupidly low price!

Cheers,

Jon

Hey Simon don't forget I've seen your website.... If that's what happens when somebody is relatively new to photography, then I might as well hang up the neck strap and give up now! I look forward to see some good things from that new lens of yours.

Voigtlander is still available. Watch this space for some photos and more information over the next few hours. But if you want to get in there before everyone else presses the button after seeing how gorgeous it is, there's no need to wait!

Might post a few more pics of him over the weekend - just been out in the garden taking pictures of him with the 135/2.5 SMC-K: reminded myself what a nice lens that is too!

Here's a couple of my first pictures using 50/1.4 SMC-A. First one was taken at f2: a rare moment when our pesky not-quite-a-kitten-any-more was not bombing around:

And this next one was taken in our hanging basket in front of the house, using an extension tube:

These lenses are really good fun, and if anyone is wondering about the 50/1.4 for sale in the classifieds at the moment, I'd be another one to say "go for it" - they're a brilliant addition to the kit bag.

I agree with the advice about 100mm SMC-M (even better if you can buy one here!). However the OP asked for a solution that gives AE ability, which leads to more costly options....
