The crop overlay (29) entirely covers all the AF points.

I've managed to 'fix' a couple of SDM lenses using an experimental method of using WD-40, contact cleaner and multipurpose lubricating oil.
If I lube the motor up too much, it spins but won't seem to catch the focus mechanism to move the elements. If it's too dry then it just doesn't shift. There's a point in between which is perfect.
One of the lenses is a 17-70 which hasn't got screw drive to fall back to.

Both the K5II and K3II were bought quite late on in their respective life-cycles. The issue is I tend to grab either a little Fuji X20 or a Lumix LX100 when I go out and about in lieu of the Pentax's, largely because (a) my wife is usually with me and I don't think it's fair her having to wait around while I'm deciding which lens, etc., and (b) I'm too heavily invested in DA glass and never know which lens to use!
I also have a few, more esoteric, cameras ('toys') to play with; a Kodak Pixpro SP360 4K, a Brinno TLC200 Pro time-lapse, a Bushnell Nature View trail-cam and very recently a Feiyu Pocket - little gimbal stabilised video camera.
Most of my Pentax camera gear is virtually unused.

I am staggered at the price of UHS-II Class 10 cards, but probably need to bite the bullet if I'm to get the best out of my new toy?
Or would I really notice the difference if I went for something lesser, aka cheaper?
