The comment by Kobie underneath the video explains the problem, the focus point does not light up in tracking mode while firing the shutter so it's fairly difficult to photograph moving objects with any real precision.

That's how I understand it anyway, happy to be proven wrong

Is it not a menu item ? The K1 can be selected for the points to light up or not.

I can see the focus confirm easily enough in AFS in dark conditions, it is red and if you're expecting it, will see it.

Haven't gotten that far in my discovery. Working up to AF.C, not my usual type of shooting

Correct Mike - it lights up in AFS but not in continuous AF. In theatre rehearsal shots last week I reverted to letting the camera automatically choose the focus points in AFC as it was too dark for me to see them in the viewfinder - and to be fair it did a good job so I think I just need to learn to trust it!
