As a new 'un, I do understand what Tony is getting at - maybe I'm the only one - I think it might be a 'toe in the water' newbie's thing! Personally, it's really interesting what the judges think of each photo, and that is one of the main reasons why I enter, when I can - the comments are always constructive, which is a wonderful thing when you are starting out, and of course I learn from seeing other entrants' photos. I must admit that I was disappointed when a couple of judges didn't enter any comments at all, as I have to go to quite a bit of effort to post images on here, and so no feedback is a bit disappointing. Equally, I wouldn't have entered originally if I thought that I'd had a chance of winning, because the judging was SO DAMN GOOD! I now understand that people on here are in general very friendly and forthcoming with help, and so I feel that judging really would be ok, it would just be on your own terms.

Stefan & Tony, that's really most kind of you, but I wouldn't want to put anyone to any trouble; my photos aren't of sufficient quality to do that, but I find the comments to the submitted entries (when they're done!) very interesting. One can only learn!

Hello, I'm sorry to be so daft, but in order to enter the Fortnightly Comp, does one have to have a Flickr account or some such, one can't upload from here like Weekly Comp? Only found one ref as to how to upload, and it doesn't make sense to my brain...
