And I see that I am now a Member and not a New Member. I really must chuck that cabbage out then

I'm not necessarily sitting it out, just on the look out for an opportunity and haven't found one yet! Sod's law but still got a couple more days. The trouble is, when you see the quality of what's already been posted

Jo

Well thanks Martin, that was very good of you. I previewed before posting, it showed the pic up to me. Sorry to be to pain-in-the-arse newbie, no doubt I'll disappear soon enough!

Jo

Stefan, it worked! Thank you, it was very patient of you to type the process out, it was actually far more straightforward than it seemed
And I've kept a note of the procedure...

These boots were made for...

The hobby being walking, not collecting old boots

With many apologies to Tony if I've missed anything out - first time 'n' all, but I owed it to Stefan

Thanks Mike, my brain is vindicated! I understand now, and do think that it was Monday night brain afterall.

The desert moon shot is stunning, I'd have stretched it to get the moon round, myself, I wonder why the photographer didn't.

And it's nice to think that I'll be ancient before I'm past being new...

And that is a most beautiful duck shot, Tony.

Ah, you see, you're all really most human! Thank you all 3 so much. I will endeavour to have a go. My problem is that I am moving about all the time, hence I am on dial-up. Sometimes I hit a 3G area (more often than not in the middle of nowhere), most times I don't. This leads to problems, like waiting an hour or so for a low quality JPEG to load up to the competition link, which it then fails to do at 10.30pm...

Hence the lack of posts!

But thank you all

PS I still don't understand the links to 'perspective compression', I understand the theory, but one chap said it was magnified with wide lens and then banged on about telephoto. Surely these are the opposite? Or is it just a Monday night brain I have?
