Jim - Anvh's explanation on the differences between Elements and Lightroom is very good. I started with Elements quite a few years ago but now use LIghtroom with just the odd dip into Elements nowadays! The only way to understand the difference though is to use both programs for a while!

I was thinking about getting the 17-70 (had been thinking about the Sigma 10-20mm but have gone off that one) but having read all of these positive comments the 18-135 sounds useful - how do these lens compare to each other and which would you recomend? I have the 18-55wr so don't really need the wr on another lens but the extra reach would be great.

I've not had any battery problems with my K30 but camera did freeze up now and again with the previous firmware version when using manual lenses - this seems to have been sorted with the latest update.

It's number 1 for me I'm embarrassed to say - I see some great sunsets etc but I've never got my dslr with me at the time - must invest in nice point and shoot!
