That is a nice one

Very good harness, as comfortable as a proper trekking backpack (my Salewa Summit provides a bit better ventilation - but it doesn't have a camera compartment...).
It's not designed to carry the whole line-up of Pentax lenses but will take enough gear - K10D, DA*16-50, DA55-300, DFA 100 macro. It would be nice to have more dividers and options to customize the photo gear compartment, but the worst case scenario is using lens cases - if you need to take a lot of small primes or something like that.
Top compartment is big enough for a day trip. Perhaps even for a weekend - waterproofs can go to the outside hatch compartment, so they don't take any space inside. Some food and a change of clothes will go there easily.
It's got a side access, like sling-shot bags - not very good, but it is there...
And you don't have to remove the tripod to get the camera out, which is the case with some other backpacks.
There is a water bottle holder and you can use hydration system as well.

It would be very nice for longer trips if was a bit bigger. As it is - can be used as a hand baggage, which is nice for holidays...

So - maybe not ideal, but for the price it is close enough

It is about electrical contacts.

On the A lens, some of them are plastic, some are metal. On the TC - everything is metal. It is enough to insulate the contacts that are plastic on the lens!

On the FA and DA lenses all contacts are metal - so information about the aperture is transmitted in a different way?

I've just received 1.5x Kenko TC.

It works fine with all my lenses but there is a problem with my A 400/5.6 - aperture value read by the camera is wrong.
This lens has an aperture range F/5.6-45, with TC it appears to be F/2.8-22 I would like a converter that really does such a trick

Exposure is OK, if I set the aperture (in Av mode) to, lets say, F/4 with TC, the lens is set to F/8 and exposure time is calculated properly. It's just the value that appears on the camera - and in the EXIF.
There is a slight overexposure when TC is used, but it's nowhere near to that shift in aperture value...

What is that thing?! Is something wrong with my TC, camera or lens?

I don't have any other A-series lenses to check, but it behaves properly on FA and DA lenses.

I can live with it, not a distaster, I just want to know

I've seen the KA on Ebay, several weeks ago - went for around 70 quid

I have two lenses for sale:

DA 50-200mm F/4-5.6 - purchased 6 months ago, I've used it several times only. Condition - as new, boxed, with original caps and hood.

M 100mm F/4 Macro - excelent cosmetic and mechanical condition - looks like a brand new one. A bit of dust on the optics, but nothing dangerous for the image quality. Original caps.
Comes with a case - not a Pentax one and slightly too big, but works

Price - 80 pounds + postage each - based on wath I've seen on Ebay.
But any - reasonable - offer will be considered.

I also have a manual focus Tamron Adaptall mount (for Pentax, of course) - 20 pounds including postage.

I don't have the originals with me now, to check the EXIFs, but I was shooting at F/6.7-8 for the most the time that day. So not much room for wider settings - would F/5.6 make a lot of a difference here? I'll chceck next time

Concerning the sharpness - I had a sharpness set at +2 in the camera, no post-processing on the PC.

It would be 600/6.7, right? A bit dark, but for that price, maybe it's worth it.

I have the Tamrac Adventure 6.
It's a bit bigger than the Lowepro (or at least looks like that ), you can attach a tripod (straps are sold separately). And Tamrac is significantly cheaper - even with additional cost for tripod straps and filter case.

Takes the jacket/fleece, small umbrella, things like phone and wallet, and two bottles of water in the external pockets (I think Lowepro doesn't have them).
And the camera

It was tested recently - fell down from the overhead locker on the plane... Probably I was veeeery lucky, but my K100D is still alive and in perfect condition.
