I know its not secondhand
but that including p&p is £180, a lot less than the retail of around £240

I doubt you would find even a second hand go for much less than that anyway

Wait..

You need to learn some ebay skils..

The uploaders servers that I use must be running slow
For gcse photography, I have to do 2 projects (minimum, but im doin BIG projects) and then an exam
Infact, I got the exam today, a selection of question topics and ways to answer them
I'm going to answer "Detail", based on Andreas Gursky, and landscape photographers like Ansel Adams. Im also going to consider photomontage artists like hockney (his joiners) and a woman called Michelle Molyneux

I got it all sorted already hah.
The exam is 4 weeks prep and then a final piece.

sorry for the double post/bumping
Rob.
When I first looked at this photograph, I thought it was a couple of stalls and then the mountains / hills behind. It was only when I read your description, that I realised how many stalls in a long line there actually are in the photograph

If you had moved slightly to the left, this might have given a better idea of endless stalls :
Ahhh
Yes, that is a good point
Since i have seen the image and the area itself I knew, but looking at the photograph the only giveaway is the people in the distance. The stalls look about three, but yes as i said, there were loads!

Thanks for the tip
Itll make me think about depth and related topics more carefully next time.

The friday market, in Ras Al Khaimah. One of many photos taken for my gcse photography project, which i took on holiday. More to follow, but I took over 1200 in 6 days there, so it will take me a while to sift through.

This place was interesting, there were basically 4 stalls, carpets, plants, fruits, and woodwork, except each was replicated to form about a 200m stretch of shops both sides of the road. Infact, later on I walked past two more people in nearly exactly the same pose

Exif data is in the file, if you use firefox with exif viewer or whatever, but its K100D with 18-55 Kit.

Location was http://tinyurl.com/3bkolc roughly. I think, I'm not too sure, my parents were driving.

I looked around for some pentax gear, but I didnt find any stores while I was there (I didnt hunt for specific photography shops or anything, I shouldve researched before I went). All I could find was canikon and sigma with canikon mounts, but the prices were about 50% of here

Using multiple exposures or a grad ND filter to bring out the skies more would be nice, adds more detail to the photo
Otherwise, the cars look great, perhaps as someone said, a cpl filter to remove the harsh reflections

I can imagine a very nice shot of the blue car at sunrise/sunset with the orange highlights shining on it, on a sandy beach with a nice sky in the background

Reuben stated that he used the 70-210, and the 300 on digital
and that the 210 was not quite long enough; 210 on film is around 300mm, so perhaps you would be better off looking for a K/M/A 400mm F/5.6, or a K 500 F/4.5

Okay nevermind hah! (i was writing this as you were your post peter)

Well if you next time buy a K10D, as I said earlier, because of crop you wouldnt need a longer lens. I would probably go for the new DA* 200mm F/2.8, and if you could afford it the DA* 300. Its very unlikely you would find a FA* 300mm F/2.8, let alone the F/4.5 version, FA* lenses hardly ever pop up.

Anyone have any idea if this would be a good buy? Would it act like a KM or KA mount?

also found a czj one for the roughly the same price.

Perhaps they wanted to release it at the same time as the 300mm, and infact it has been ready

Or, the weather sealing and hsm posed a problem and took a while

who knows.
