This sounds like there is a capacitor which needs charging.

Batteries were new Energizer Lithiums. Lasted roughly 6 shots, before first battery bar dropped. Does seem to do it the minute you use the replay button for pictures. Came back on to full when turned off then on again. But stayed down to 1 bar gone after 5 sec`s of video. Had a Canon Powershot that did the same many years ago. Found a video that had a fix. By resetting a few settings. Then it was golden. Camera came with all the instruction and all the CD`s. Even all the cables. Was quite surprised it had everything.also says:

Although you could be right about it being just a faulty display. I`ll take it out and see if I can flatten the batteries.

Gday all. Have a question about an old Pentax Optio E60. Yes I know its probably considered ancient. But it is what it is. I picked it up very cheap ($10), as I was looking for a point and shoot that still takes AA batteries. Something that just doesnt exist anymore. Reason for that is I dont have access to power where I go and its easier to carry some AA`s. And solar recharging gear just takes up room. Had a Nikon Coolpix which was great for this. But it died. Anyway I digress.
Im getting a low battery icon come up after only a few shots. (this is why Im assuming it got ditched) With fresh batteries in it. Now I know a lot of these little point and shoots, can have these problems. This and jammed lenses being the most popular. But also they have their fixes. However it seems for the life of me. I cant find one anywhere. It seems to be in very good condition. With no signs of corrosion, at all.
So question is. Is there a fix for this? Ive had a look at the terminals and they look fine and protrude well. And battery door closes nicely and snug.
Any help would be gladly appreciated.
Cheers
