Having owned most of the K series dslrs, i do find this statement rather puzzling, in what ways are dslrs easier to use ?
Viewfinder can be used without having to switch on camera; Long lenses handle better than trying to use a screen image; Pentaprism gives better view that does not lag with action shots; Tracking and panning easier; Easier to use viewfinder in very bright light; Much larger lens choice; More stable cameras for hand holding; More physical controls as opposed to dipping into menus; Faster response and less shutter lag; Larger batteries for more shots per charge; Better weather sealing......

and I'm sure lots of other reasons too. Hope that helps!
Mirrorless cameras do chew through batterys more than their dslr brethren, but the simple solution is to carry a few spares.
My mirrorless systems have plenty of customisable buttons so menu digging really is not an issue.
After 2 years with pretty awesome evf's i do not think i ever want to go back to an optical one, i just find them too restricting and lack the
techy advancements i have come to expect.
I really hope Pentax release a K-02 in the future with an evf.
