What is you diy diffuser made from?

I'm using DIY Flash diffuser - using Styrofoam (used for wrapping goods). Put it in front of the ring flash ( on top of the lens). The ring flash is not snap at its place. Hanging on top of the lens using ruler (made of wood - more stable).... It is still in BETA stage though..hehehe

This is an ant mimic spider at 1:1. Found it on leaf while walking in the bush at my place.

Thanks. For DIY flash diffuser, I used a double layer of Styrofoam (people used it for wrapping goods - white colour) in front of my ring flash. The ring flash is not attach to the lens. It is hanging above the lens. Must DIY a special bracket for this setup . It is still under beta version...hehehe

This is my first photo posting here. This is a photo of stink bug and commonly found in Malaysia (many variety can be found). Taken by handheld, using PENTAX K-5, SMC PENTAX D FA MACRO 100MM F2.8 WR, AF160FC AUTO MACRO RING FLASH and DIY Flash Diffuser.

Black background appear because it is a full flash technique. Taken at 1/180s, ISO 100 and f/16.
