Aren't photographers meant to get up before dawn to catch the magical light of a glorious sunrise?

Steve
Photographers maybe, but retired photographers tend to do what the heck we want..

G'n'T time, at last I'm officially retired.

Tomorrow is the first day of freedom...

...and I'll be off out for a ride with Mrs HG....on push bikes!

Got to stay fit!

They said it only had £15 of fuel in it, so I stopped off to fill up fully..

..all £2 worth

Spending today fitting all the bits I've acquired while waiting.

Mrs HG will be happy, she'll get the spare room back.

That was 7 years ago..

...off out now to collect my new girl, I'll post an image when we get home..

We went to see some paintings by Bradford's famous son David Hockney, on Saturday - his Yorkshire landscapes which are currently at the van Gogh museum. Really enjoyed seeing them and being immersed in them - some are seriously big.
He went to school with my mother...

Just celebrated my birthday in the Lake District, it rained,as expected.

On the plus side I had Mrs HG to myself and a lovely time.

Even if a little wet...

The hills looked wonderful as we left, they were covered in snow.
