Thanks Andrew, doing the conversion satisfied my curiosity.

Normally I'm not one for digital images being converted and feel it can be over done. But your image just cries out for attention, both in colour and B&W.

All I've done is use a good documentary shot to produce an alternative view.

Gosh, that almost sound as if it has a point!

Nearly through the dreaded Friday 13th and no mishaps, yet...

I use the bread maker just to do the dough, then finish it the old fashioned way.

The loaf then fits in the bread bin.

They're picking on me on another thread for not using a lens hood.

I understand that thoughton, but should that happen then I'd be looking at an insurance claim.

Hood or not in that situation there would , more than likely' be more serious damage to the lens, mount and body.

The lens hoods I have feel flimsy and as though they'd offer minimal, if any, impact protection.

But as I said earlier, I'm in a minority on this one.

Why not?

You have to remember the morning after the night before and take the correct measures...

... usually 2 or 3 less than you want!

Not sure I follow the 'protection' statement.

For protection I usually keep the camera in a case, nowadays I don't even use a daylight filter on the front of a lens, that, though, is a different discussion.

Surely anything that makes a lens longer is going to increase the chance of damage.

When I handled an I10 I was impressed gy the feel and build quality.

I took a couple of street shots and found the straight from the camera IQ very good, unfortunately I've deleted/lost the images.

In the current Pentax Optio range this model has to be the flagship and best, it's just a shame there's no optical view finder, an item I keep hearing people asking for in shops.

Come on Pentax make a great camera better, put an optical 'finder on it!

Fair point i-berg, older colour film does have a way of looking that way.

I did this this morning to see what a B&w would look like, I'll remove it if you want Andrew.

Seems I'm in a minority here.

Still...
