I use bulk film and load my own cartridges. Doing it this way means I don't have to shoot in standard lengths when trying out a new (to me) body.

In fact I tend to shoot on 2 feet lengths(I don't have any logic for this) and always have a spare film ready.

However as DM states, the price of film is slowly rising, so I have ordered some Fomapan from Norway to try and offset the cost a little.

As for 'why shoot film?'

I still feel as I did a while back that it helps you develop an eye for composition and sops the 'machine gun' approach.

OK, to round up there's a definate yes result for some cheap AF primes.

Please Ricoh Pentax, can we have some?

When I shot a lot more film than I do now I used a linear polarizer on my lens.

By turning the filter whilst looking through the viewfinder you could see the effect.

I don't think circular ones show this, which could make them awkward to use.

The Bingley Lunch Camera meet was a success, Dave went away wanting EVERYTHING!!!

Having seen and handled several bodies he seemed a little happier about maybe buying another body or 2, we shall see...

...and he has some foam to replace his mirror buffer on the A.

Now now there's no need to be ...

....oh!

I see what you mean.

Seriously, Sony are working on a FF sensor (so I'm told) which would, like the other sensors they produce , be available to the new PENTAX RICOH IMAGING COMPANY, LTD. Could there be a FF K1 on the horizon?

Overheard in a bar last night "He spent three weeks in China on holiday and took 500 photos!"

the boss looked at me and said "Only500? that's a normal day when we're away!"

As an aside, has ebay changed the way it's listing are displayed?

Must try the wash thing on our cat!

We don't have a mouse problem here, so all the cats in the area are well fed, it stops them hunting the birds.

Well done Shaun, hope you celebrated with a beer or 2.
