About GIULIO57
Born in 1957. Dr. in Biology. I started taking pics in 1975 during a trip to France.Member of FIAF and FIAP; last year I got the title of AFIAP. I 've attended a lot of Italian and International Contests.Peoples say "with good results".My favourite themes are landscapes, portraits and sport/action. I always use a tripod when taking pics of landscapes. I still use negative B&W films. I do process and print in my own dark-room.Two years ago I bought my first digital SLR: Pentax K20D. I use Pentax cameras and lenses only. The 400mm is a Apo-SIGMA.Zoom 70-210 SP is a Tamron. Even if I'm a biologist in my everiday life I work in the field of scientific instruments for Research labs as optical and electronic microscopes and so on. A few years ago I have worked in the EM lab of National Research Council in Florence, performing a lot of digital pics using these powerful instruments. After that experience I worked for Leica, always in the field of researh instr.
