Dr Mhuni, beat me to it, I got one of these, link, for my K7, I would give it 9.5 out of 10.

The extra batteries swung it for me.

I did investigate a few options first, I did see a few that had plastic docking pins instead of the metal ones you see on this version. There were one or two that had only a few mounting screws around the tripod mounting plate, where as this one has 6.

Someone on 'pentaxforums', ( I think ), did a good review on most models that were available, and this one came out on top.

The company dispatched it same the day to me, unfortunately, 'The Post Office', ( grrrrrrr . . . ), messed up a bit and I got it 3 days later.

Anyway, as I say 9.5 out of 10, well it's not a Pentax original, but for value, plus the batteries 11.5 out of 10

I used to wonder why people shot RAW, seemed like a lot of effort for very little gain.

As an exercise, I took out the Pentax FA50 f1:1.4 shot only RAW, went to some of my usual haunts, took a picture or two, opened them in Aperture for Mac, found that I had been missing so much, there were things I could recover / adjust that were not open to me before.

I shoot everything in RAW now.

I know 'Aperture' is Mac only, but I have used LightRoom as well, it's good too. There are so many free RAW converters out there, especially for the Mac, so I assume for Windoze too, give them all a try and explore !

p.s. I like the pictures you post, so maybe you don't ned to adjust them too much ?

I did wonder the same, have we another outlet for our fantastic Pentax lenses ?

Could be tempted if it works with my current lenses ?

Pentax --- Sony ?

May not be Pentax images, but I'm sure they can give inspiration to the rest of us.

I like No.9, B&W of the eye / face
